Recently, I had a difficult situation at school when confronted a crucial conversation with one of my team members who were working with me on a course project. While one member and I were so enthusiastic about completing the project and submitting it prior to the deadline, the second team member didn’t show any enthusiasm or seriousness in this case. Therefore, I decided to have a discussion with him and tell him frankly that his lack of seriousness or immaturity would lead to our failure in the course or at least losing marks. Because I was so upset and working under pressure, I didn’t wait so long to have this conversation and I spoke with him the next day. I started the conversation by placing the blame on him for his lack of commitment causing the delay of submission. Then, the argument turned a crucial conversation with strong emotions when each one of us blamed the other for not working so hard. Though both of us were vehement in our denial of the responsibility, I realized that if we continued arguing aggressively, we wouldn’t reach the wanted result and accomplish our mutual goal.
