I've read through the document that you gave to me on Friday. I think that you'd gathered some good information on the role of screens in mosques, but I think you will need to a do a few things in order to get to a thesis. 1. Think about expanding your research to an interest in shallow space. We talked last time about the niche, and other spaces and thresholds that were not deep or large spaces. I think is interesting subject matter for you to investigate. 2. Your research does not yet include analysis, and you will need to do this in order to generate a design proposal. Remember that you're Senior Project is a design project, not a written paper, so you need to look at this research and begin to generate a question that allows you to work on a design project. 3. Investigate and analyze some of the architectural elements and types that we've discussed... niches, thresholds, stairs, lecterns, etc.
