Every Monday I provide free services to low-income families at a pregnancy help center in Rosemead, CA. I do meet with mothers in a hospital setting, clinical office, and mainly at home visits. Since becoming IBCLC certified my clients has expanded to individuals of middle to upper class as well. 4. Type of healthcare concerns: I focus not only on helping mothers overcome breastfeeding challenges but I also play a role in the mothers and newborns well-being. 5. Social issues with population: Many lactation consultants charge between 200 - 400 US dollars when consulted outside the hospital.
