Choose a stage of marriage: Engagement, early marriage, middle-aged marriage, aging and later life. Interview a couple in this stage of marriage. Ask them what they believe makes a marriage successful? What are the challenges of this stage of marriage? What advice would they give to a single person who was concerned about the challenges of marriage? Write a 2-3 page paper with your response. I'll simply ask that you relate the interview and your paper in general to at least one topic in the text/reading. Don't worry about citing the interview itself, just cite the textbook at least once within your paper and you're good to go. Required Texts: The Marriage and Family Experience; Intimate Relationships In A changing Society, 13th Edition, Strong/DeVault/Cohen.
