Have fun with this assignment. Muda Scavenger Hunt (Muda means waster) Purpose is to recognize the various forms of waste as shown in Figure 16.2, The Seven Wastes. Remember that service industries have waste as well, such as over capacity in a restaurant where there are too many empty tables, too many employees, etc... Find an example for each type of waste. Describe your example and then take a picture or post a URL. One suggestion is to, search the near campus for an example of each type of waste. Your discussion post must be submitted by the posted due date to receive full credit. (35 points), 6 points per example. Late submissions for initial posting will have a 20% penalty. For this assignment you must respond to two posts, simple note if you agree or disagree that waste was observed and if you have seen a similar form of waste. (4 points each).
