Teaching Plan

There is a teaching plan that needs to be done based on the patient: 11 year old child who was completely healthy. On January 15th, he fell and hit his head. Since then he was throwing up for 3 days. On January 18th, he was admitted to the hospital and taken into the surgery. After the surgery the same symptoms were continuing, so he got admitted to the Children's Hospital again. Neurosurgeon had said that the problem aggresively came back and new surgery needs to be done. Admitting Diagnosis: Neoplasm of unspecified behavior of brain, Headache, Vomiting, Malignant neoplasm of cerebellum, Ataxia. Meanwhile, until the next surgery, the family needs to learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of increased intracranial pressure and fall precautions. They recently came from Armenia, and do not know language, so it is hard to be on the same page with them. Both parents were at the hospital, but because dad works, mom was there the whole time. Because the child is in pain, mother needs to be taught mainly. The situation that they are going through is very hard and emotional, so please make sure you put it on the paper as well. I am a student nurse that knows Armenian and spent my whole day with that patient and his family, because he was assigned to me. (You can use it in the introduction) So, the teaching plans needs to be done on how to recognize increased intracranial pressure and fall precautions. The paper has to have in-text citations and APA Reference page at the end. Paper has to be 2-3 pages, title page and reference page not included.
