Assignment Description – Team project
The task for this assignment will be to research, learn and utilize some of the tools that are available in class lecture and on the course Blackboard site that will be used during the semester. The team will actually design/build a remote controlled Flying Boat prototype that is approximately 12 inches (minimum) and 15” (maximum) in length. The requirements for the flying boat is that it can “glide” across the surface of a table or floor or water. The prototype must be designed with features that are presented in a professional manner which translates to parts and electronics concealed so that they are not visible and will not be harmed by water or liquids.
This project has great advantages of not only each team member learning the build but also included in the team member resumes and being utilized by many students who take the course. This project enables team members to research, create, plan, build and learn how to manage a software/hardware product within a specified time frame throughout the project to a completion due date (April 2018).
