MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY: Understanding of medical terminology will enable you to understand medical terms in your chosen medical profession and assist you when reviewing health care literature. 1. Locate a medical journal article on your chosen topic. You can use the internet or GALILEO (your student library resource) http://www.galileo.usg.edu/scholar/darton/search/ to locate this article. Your final article critique and medical terminology writing assignment form, must include the link to this article and a copy of the original article. 2. Summarize your article on the Med Term Journal Article Critique Form. You must include the link to your chosen article and a copy of the original article. 3. Identify 20 medical terms from your chosen Journal Article. Complete the Medical Terminology Writing Assignment Form with the 20 medical terms, each terms definition, and its word parts (prefix, root word, and /or suffix) with definitions. 4. Both of the above forms (Med Term Journal Article Critique Form and Medical Terminology Writing Assignment Form) have been combined for you in the Medical Terminology Writing Assignment Template that is attached to this assignment. Please open the attached template and type your critique and medical terms directly into the template. You can save this template as your name.medical term writing assignment (ex: JoeBrown.medical term writing assignment) and submit it to the drop box by its due date. 5. You must reference and cite your work for this assignment.
