Instruction
Your paper will be graded on the following items:
Content (60%) – what are you saying? Is it accurate?
Writing (30%) – grammar and flow are both of interest.
I will be looking not only at the number of mistakes you make grammatically, but also the atrociousness of those mistakes. A spelling error is not as grievous as a sentence fragment for instance. Repeating an idea over and over may be good for advertising, but it is not a proper writing strategy.
If you write a good paper, following the instructions given to you, you will more than likely get a good grade.
References (10%) – I don’t have a preference for the way you cite your work, but you must provide citations for the references you use. There is not a predetermined number of references expected for this paper, but you must have some.
Citations:
I do not care what form your citations take as long as it is consistent. You must cite any and all works you rely upon in writing your papers. When in doubt, cite it. Here is a possible form for your citations. You do not have to use this if you are comfortable with some other method.
