As Zinsser discusses in Part III of his book, that writing about places requires descriptive abilities, I choose a topic that will narrate my travel experience in a soulful manner. Travelling for me has been an engaging journey because I see some places and meet various people. My travel guide is limited to only a few places, but those places are worth visiting for. My Dream Destination – Hill Top Farm House To refresh ourselves and to inhale fresh oxygen, my family and I decided to travel to a remote destination and spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. We have a hill station that is famous for its scenic beauty. The administration over there has established a wonder farm house for people to come and enjoy the nature. It was in last summers that all of us were heading towards the wonderful farm house. The journey started early morning. All of us were extremely excited. We were laughing and sharing jokes. We initially planned that we would spend three days in the farm house. However, our plan was subject to change since our elders thought that we would see the facilities and health conditions of everyone after going there and then decide. We all agreed. We were four families in two large wagons. Wow! What a start it was. A soothing environment with fresh air blowing on our faces, we moved ahead. The singing sound of kids was echoing in our ears. The laughter and giggles were heard with a lot of ideas to maximize the enjoyment. As we moved forward, the excitement was doubled. This was due to the beautiful scenes that we could see. The red and yellow roses with rich green trees were too magical. The trees were on both sides of the way. The weather was cloudy and rainy. The wind that blown was chilled and refreshing. We finally reached to the main gate of the farm house. It was beautifully decorated with green bushes. The flowers were arranged in a nice and geometrical manner. It was all highly appealing. We parked our cars and took the baggage. We decided to walk from the gate to our hut. The hut that we got was at a distance. It was like a fairy tale when once upon a time people lived far far away. Children started running. We all were on the move. It was also like a hiking tip as we, later on, explored the nearby hills. Our Magical Hut: It was the most magical place that I have ever seen in my life. It was built inside a hit with an opening in the fields. It was covered my plants and flowers. The flowers were full of fragrance that we could smell from a distance. The sun was shining although it was cloudy. It seemed like the sun was smiling at us and welcoming us to such a mesmerizing place. The walls were made out of stones with small windows. The door was wooden but my God, it had all the facilities inside to provide a comfortable accommodation. There was a small garden inside with an artificial water fall. It was very captivating. Small fish in the pond were inviting us to meet them. Our Stay at Farm house: The most exciting day, full of colours started. We changed our clothes and put on easy trousers with hiking shoes. All of us decided to discover the areas. The children were with their mothers. The elders went on the tour. My cousins and I decided to climb the mountain first. It was very interesting. There were such edges on the hill where we could easily put our foot and climb to next spot. It soon developed into a race that who would reach the mountain top first. We were struggling and giving each other’s remarks. One of my cousins who has served in the military was ahead of us because of his prior training to conquer mountains. As expected, he reached the mountain top first and stood there like a champion. All of us finally reached on top and celebrated our victory. We stated singing songs and danced. Then we took pictures of each other and also of the surroundings. From the top of the hill, the valley looked amazing. It was a heaven like imagery that we observed. We all stood quite for some time and felt the awesome weather and soothing views. The next phase was to come down. It was back to back the fun that we had. For going down, we decided to do something different. We thought that we should use ropes to come down. We tried each other with one rope and started moving downwards. Initially, we were scared, but due to our adventure, we continued coming down. We finally reached back, and there was another celebration of this act of bravery. It was one of the great moments we cousins had with each other. The rest of the day, we went for cycling, and sight-seeing. The farm house was offering some facilities, and we wanted to enjoy every bit of it. Cycling was a yet another adventure that we had. It was not easy to cycle on rocky paths, but we were determined to go for it. We went till the last part of the farm house and returned. It was a very good exercise and an adventure in itself both. We were tired, but nobody wanted to take a break. We then went for sight-seeing. There was a small zoo that had world’s precious birds and peacocks. We observed nature and different animals silently. A large number of photographs were taken for building memories and publishing on Facebook. We were happy. We all agreed that such an outing was necessary for our mind and soul. To refresh our minds on our jobs, and work routine, such adventurous trips are necessary for stay happy and healthy. Such events help us regain our stamina and energy to complete our urban life commitments. The purpose of writing this wonderful journey is to appreciate the beauties of nature and to understand that with travelling, one learns a great deal. S/he enjoys and experience new practices thus enjoying life to a great deal. Constraints: While I was on this trip, I could recall different childhood stories and fairy tales where a family lived far away, in green resorts. My trip resembled the story of Shrek who lived far away. He was away from the noise and pollution of the world. He had his own place and his own living style. The nature was so sacred and pious that I thought of my Lord and his blessings on me. I was thankful that the Almighty had made such wonders in the world that take our attention and fulfil us with rich experiences. I was so inspired by the beauties of nature that I thought that maybe I could live there forever like Fiona and Shrek who had their Swap, away from the urban centres. This reason for having such feelings was my love for nature and travelling. This is the core reasons I love travelling that I am a very romantic person from the bottom of my heart. I create stories as I see majestic scenes around me. They take my breath away. I build up a structure that others may find comical and unrealistic. But for me, that is the beauty of travelling that it lets me imagine. I am a nature lover, and I enjoy exploring natural surroundings. It is one of my biggest desires that I spend my life in a distant and remote area. I would not need advanced technology there, and large networks of friends because I would find peace in nature. I would explore the layers of naturalistic beauties that the Lord has bestowed us with. This deepens my faith into my Creator. As I view hills, and rivers, and flowers, I feel that there are so many positives in the world. We human beings have restricted our lives to modern day living. We rely on technology and fast way of life, but we miss out the ordinary joys and pleasures. Even if we live in urban places, once a while, we should explore nature and reflect back on blessings of Lord. This is a way forward to maintain balance in one’s life and a way to live a happy and peaceful life.
