Social Work in Work, School, and Military Environments
Choose two of these systems: education, work, or the military. Explain how they fit into the domain of social work, and the social justice issues social workers should be aware of in these systems. At least three hundred words, altogether.
o How do schools, military environments, or work environments rely on social workers?
o What is one social justice or social culture issue found in a school, work, or military environment that influences the practice of social work?
Health Issues, Lifestyle Choice, and Social Justice
Consider general access to care, wellness practices, maintenance of health and prevention of illness, and treatment of illness (disease management). Briefly compare differences in scope (the extent and relevance to the issue of social justice) of two health conditions facing Americans today (obesity, chronic pain, tobacco use, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, et cetera). Be sure to describe the demographics of the two populations you choose. Three hundred words per comparison. Cite readings to support your claims.
o What kinds of early intervene strategies might social workers employ in their engagement with the two populations you chose to analyze, particularly in the context of social justice?
o What are the American mindsets about the two issues you identified?
o How can social workers influence these mindsets?
Health Care Access (300 words)
Explain issues around access to care and prevention of illness as well as institutions that provide health care. Provide specific insights about health and wellness programs, as well as illness and disease management, for populations with limited health care benefits. How have health care reform efforts helped or hindered services to these populations?
Substance Abuse (300 words)
Consider the social views of addictions and co-occurring disorders as you respond to these questions.
o Discuss and compare the different approaches to addiction management and treatment (medical, social, cognitive-behavioral). What are the advantages and disadvantages of the different approaches?
o Discuss the role of social work in changing or improving the social problems that exist as a result of addictions and co-occurring conditions.
• Complete a research presentation on one contemporary social issue (for example, hunger and food insecurity, poverty and economic security, education and employment security, family structure, parenting, racial tension, legalization of marijuana, technology and the Internet, injury and pain management, military veterans) that impacts the community or a specific segment of the population and that may be addressed within the scope of the social work profession.
Present your findings as a PowerPoint presentation using slides and the notes page features of PowerPoint. Your presentation will:
Identify individual, group or family, or community social justice and social work practices related to the social issue you identified, noting how the dynamics and situations related to that issue cross over into multiple systems (individual, group or family, or community).
o Address the social definition of the social issue or condition that affects the social system or community and the people involved.
o Analyze, in the notes section, based on behavioral theories and approaches from your course readings or other academic literature:
How social issues are defined.
Why they are identified.
How social workers engage with the interventions and management.
o Conclude with a summary that addresses the social work's role in helping individuals and promoting social justice and social change related to the social issue you identified, using research-based information to support the application of research to practice.

I am currently studying to take a test for a teacher's license and don't have the energy to do the assignment for the class. Please limit plagiarism. I don't mind fixing small amounts, but anything over 15% is more difficult to work over in the projected time-frame.
