Literature review: Comparing PBL and game-based environments : it has to be APA style
Purpose: The goal of this final assignment option is to write a literature review that covers project-based learning and game-based learning environments. Literature reviews provide a critical survey of the literature base for a given scholarly field. They are used to understand the state of a research field and provide insights into where gaps exist in current work. This assignment is meant to provide you with an opportunity to engage in the work of reading published scholarly work and discussing that work in a scholarly way.
Requirements:
Write a 3000 word (excluding citations) literature review. This is NOT an annotated bibliography. You should be writing a coherent paper that transitions from one idea to the next within and across each of the required sections below. The paper must be in APA format, including citations. The document must contain the following sections:
A review of project-based learning literature that includes 10 references. These references must come from peer reviewed journals, research handbooks, or scholarly books. (You can use readings from the course toward those 10.) This review should provide the reader with a complete overview of the topic including the theoretical grounding, notable research results, and open questions that still need to be addressed by the research community.

Your final section should be include a written synthesis of (a) how these environments are connected? (b) Why and how might educators engage with these environments? (c) Why and how might researchers engage with these environments? (d) How might ideas that inform one of these literature bases help the other?
