4) write in third-person point of view (singular/plural)
5) write in present tense (omitting the following auxiliary/helping verbs in #6)
6) use active verbs (omitting "can," "could," "would," "should," "will," "shall," "may," "might," and "must")
7) structure, organize, and develop a cause-effect essay, following an organizational structure that provides the best manner to express your analyses
8) include variety: diction, sentence structures and types, and appropriate transitions
9) have good grammar, usage, and mechanics
