I believe it is easiest to "follow the money" and possibly understand why it continues to be a big issue. Since your chapter covers health insurance I thought we should stick with the topic for this week's forum. Many wonder why health care reform has become such an important topic for the government. I know there are a lot of links but please click on the following:

How does this make you feel? Do you think this affects the health care ‘debate’? Do you think you have a voice in Washington?

I have always been excited to share my frustrations and thoughts regarding the healthcare as I have observed in the past few years. Arguably, different sources support my insight that the US healthcare system is worse off despite the significant funding efforts from different sources. The system is completely broken. The system has transitioned to a gigantic money pit featured with pharmaceutical corporations, insurance companies together with gluttonous and injustice lawyers who are readily filling their pockets. To my conscience, I sincerely acknowledge the excellent work executed by our good health care practitioners and the nursing staff. I cannot blame them due to the charitable roles they undertake by doing an exceptional job under harsh conditions and low pay. It is my feeling that a lot of concern is required for improved healthcare.
The current healthcare status is a hallmark in the health care debate. A lot of money is getting absorbed in the healthcare sector; a factor which is ironical once compared to the healthcare results. This is likely to affect the health care debate significantly. Arguably, healthcare positioners and staff are deeply annoyed with this form of injustice to the loyal citizens. Different entities in the sector have forgotten their roles for dollar gains. Healthcare debate is likely to be featured with a lot of aggression, criticisms, and desire for change in the sector management and policies as well.
I have a voice in Washington regarding the current status of the healthcare sector. Majority of the healthcare challenges have been deeply rooted in the streets of Washington. It is the background of the major lobbying players in the industry. This has violated enactment of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Lobbyists have also championed the restructuring of Medicare and Medicaid for health services and HMO interests. Large sums of money are getting absorbed as a result. For that matter, special interests for lobbyists from Washington should be abolished through technical research and strict rules. In essence, lobbying firms along the Washington legendary K Street should be watched closely.

Hello Class,
The health care industry in the United States definitely plays a role in the government. Health care is extremely important to have because you never know what will happen and it is best to be always covered. Thousands of people through out the U.S. are not covered because they can't afford it. The government tries to help people out who can't afford health care, but I think they need to do a better job at evaluating who is receiving it. I was shocked at how much money the health care recipients receives, especially Hilary Clinton with over $11 million. No you don't have a voice directly in Washington. There are representatives in our area who you can speak to about your issues that you want to voice in Washington. Your voice may get to Washington but their are so many people that have different views on the topic of health care and how it should be regulated.
