I thought this was a really good example of a CEO-level corporate officer setting the tone for a company without waiting for legislation. It shows how a CEO can determine the direction and set the tone of the company immediately. Within a few days, a few other companies followed the same path. I thought it was interesting to see an immediate policy put in place. It shows how much power a CEO has. 2. http://fortune.com/partners/abbott/129740/?prx_t=fYIDAijIdANuIPA (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. I found this article interesting because my brother is type 1 diabetic and it’s about the lifestyle monitor company. This company makes the monitors that check the blood sugar level on all diabetics, I like how they don’t give up at finding a way to check the blood sugar level in an easier way and especially to find it less painful. They don’t give up and keep going back to the drawing board. If you have a business that wants to truly help individuals they will go that extra mile. They are also taking advantage of all the advanced technology that’s out there. 3. https://youtu.be/WSKi8HfcxEk I found it interesting and informative. Many questions arise after watching this video. If machines are taking over most of our jobs, what are we going to do? We need to work and make money in order to survive. I just hope that as automation becomes more popular new jobs will be created as well. 4. https://youtu.be/f60dheI4ARg I found this video on Steve Jobs founder of Apple on how he believes people at work should be placed. I found it interesting because he explain how people should be placed and how to organize your business. He believes team work should be important because it leads to a successful business. Apple has been successful company with the best technology. Steve Jobs was a top manager and he says himself in the video that he believes that you have to work with your team to be able to develop as one. I found it interesting because his company is successful and its always good seeing how a top manager was able to set up a company. It will also help someone who is starting up to have a sense as to how to organize a company.
