Make your presentation clear and format it neatly. Use the following for basic formatting: a title slide that follows the rubric, images with a figure caption under them, and a reference slide that tells me where you got your information and images Your PowerPoint should be structured as follows: FIRST SLIDE Title Slide with the items listed in the grading rubric. SLIDE 2 Your introduction should be an explanation of what your understanding of what a carbon footprint is and why it is important. SLIDES 3-10ish About one third of your slides should be about the quiz and your results, and then the rest of your slides should be about creative ways you can reduce your footprint. Choose at least 3 separate issues to address and at least three online resources regarding ways in which you might change how you live in order to reduce your footprint. When you take the test, enter more detailed information, not the basic information. Include the following in the first third of the body of your presentation: Your carbon footprint; how many earths would we need if everyone lived like you do? What is the date you reach 1 earth? A description of your current lifestyle and what informed the results of your test. A screen image of your test results. Include the following in the remaining two thirds of your presentation: Pick at least three ways that you can reduce your carbon footprint based on your test results and research the most effective ways to do so. Explain how you will achieve this and cite what you learned from your research about how to do this. Use Images of some of the techniques for reducing your footprint (images related to recycling, green technologies/infrastructure, people biking, diagrams, etc.) Images make your presentation look nicer and more interesting to look at. CONCLUSION Sum up how will change your life to reduce your carbon footprint. Remember to use the grading rubric as a guide for exactly what to include in your PowerPoint presentation.
