Discuss evolution of U.S. FP since end of WWII - 2008 and how U.S. FPs reflected the underlying national interests.
Focus on significant events/pivotal developments, their causes, and ramifications between U.S. and south Korea Avoid trivial/less pertinent issues.
Analytical –not descriptive. detect notable trends in U.S. foreign policy (i.e., its continuity) and explain the temporary departures from such trends as well as more radical and permanent revisions of the course of FP. Focus on analysis of U.S. policy
discuss specific policies, suggest vital national interests they were supposed to advance and which threats/concerns they addressed.
argument/inferences supported by clear, credible, and concrete evidence.
