I will choose TWO out of the eight images within this information for you to critique for your online final. Each critique will be written; please use proper grammar and complete sentences.
The final exam will be available Monday, July 23rd at 8:00 pm and close at the end of the day Tuesday, July 24th.
You will complete a formal critique for each image and complete a contextual OR expressive critique for each. You will need to back up your critiques with fact. Cite all research.
Although all images will not have the same information available, here are some things to consider when critiquing your images:
Formal Critique: (required) 1 paragraph
Line - characteristics and variations
Shape - geometric/ organic, figure/ground
Mass - closed/open form
Space - linear perspective/ atmospheric perspective/ implied depth
Motion - real/ implied
Light
Value
Color
Color Schemes - monochromatic, analogous, complementary

What was going on in art history during this time period? How does this effect the art work?
Representational, Abstract, or Non-Representational? Explain.
Iconography or symbolism used?
