Students are expected to examine one issue in contemporary American politics that make headlines during the course of this class. Each student will submit a write-up of the current event that they have chosen, which will include: the event, what happened, when did it happen, why was this event important, was the United States the only party involved - if not, who were the other parties – how does the event relate to class, and why you found it interesting.
