Students often arrive to school facing numerous challenges. Educators are charged with the daunting task of teaching the student, no matter what challenges are present outside the classroom. It is important to understand what issues a family may be facing as well, to best support the student. As an educator, it is important to know where to find resources that may be of assistance, and to communicate that information to families effectively. Allocate at least 1.5 hours in the field to support this field experience. This is a Block I Field Experience.
