Process Essay Value 70 pts Requirements Typed Double and Double Spaced Length 500 Words (about two pages typed) 1. Select a process to describe for your audience and in 500 words tell us about how to complete or perform that process. Remember you may need to provide us extra information about the topic to fulfill your 500 words. 2. Think about someone performing the task on a television show. How would they have to use their words to fill up the “dead air” why they complete the task? You may have to add a personal story or some background information to make the word limit. Don’t be afraid to add your voice and commentary to the essay. This essay can be more than just facts. (Your observations need to make sense and flow with your process, but your stories or anecdotes can add to the essay. It will make the essay more interesting and more personal. Show me what you know and why you know it.) 3. Remember that you need to be organized. Use transitions and an outline structure to organize your thoughts. I should see a clear beginning (with a strong thesis statement), organized main points, and a conclusion.
