You have been asked to design an E-Learning session for a local community college. The aim is to move to E-Learning the content part of a popular class on omelet cooking. People will still come into the college to do actual cooking and get feedback, but your client really wants them to learn as much as they can in E-Learning mode ahead of time. In thinking about design of this course, how would you make use of the insights that Clark and Mayer provide on principles and processes? Specifically: How can you appeal to each of the "dual channels"? What would you see as the content topics that would be needed for "essential processing"? How would you avoid saying too much and triggering "extraneous processing"? What might you do to engage people in "generative processing"?
