USE DELTA AIRLINES FOR THIS REPORT
The best way to convince your interviewer that you know the company well is to be able to articulate what makes it special compared to competitors. Companies will often tell you the answer to this and many other questions right on their websites.
Using the company you selected write a research paper that highlights the company researched and supports your choice of potential employer to align with your career goals and skills. The report should include at minimum the following information:
1. What makes the company special compared to its competitor? Usually listed in the company's mission and values.
2. How large and where is the company located?
3. How did the company get started and where is it now.
4. What is the company's financial health (including new products, company risks, and whether revenues are growing or stable)?
5. Lastly, check out the company’s community interaction (In the news, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook etc.). Is the tone professional or casual? Is it nonstop promotion with little interaction? Is the team responsive to complaints?
Organize your research to outline the most important elements of the company.
Align your skills with the company's mission and values.
Write in report format (Report Format Guidelines ) your findings about the company that led you to choose it as a good fit for potential employment.
