Abstract,
-200 words that summarize the work.
-first in the page, last to be written.
-Hint at the goodies.
(2 sentences on goals, 2 on the experiment, and 2 on major results)
intro,
-2 pages
-Provide background info for the reader and why the work was done.
-helps the reader understand what will follow.
-most references are used in this section.
-the last paragraph should discuss what this experiment focuses on.
Procedure,
-2 pages
-covers the experiment how was done.
-Enough details on samples, sample prep, and testing.
-schematics of mechanics and setups as figures.
-it should be in paragraph form and not sop.
Results And Discussions,
-more than 1.5 to 2 pages
-present results in a concise manner.
-tables and figures of data go in here.
-Need to discuss each table and figure in a text below. (Tell reader the trend, explaine why the trend happened)
-Note even minor issues.
Figures,
-Insert in line with text.
-center figure and caption. (explain what the figure is)
-Must be referred to in the text (figure 1 illustrate, depicts..)
Tables,
-Caption goes above tables.
-Tables should include a column heading (Bold these)
-Must be referred to in the text (Table 1 lists, or see table 7).
Conclusion,
-Summarize the major data points and trends.
-summarize the main reasons for these trends.
-NO NEW IDEAS!
