Use the 6-step process:
1. Identify the fact that you are faced with an ethical dilemma and state the dilemma clearly.
2. Collect the facts and circumstances, identify the who, what, when, where, and why, and all other relevant info.
3. Collect all facts and knowledge relevant, including your own values and your own position.
4. Call to mind your knowledge of ethical principles and theories with the aim of applying those ethical approaches to the possible course of action.
5. Identify all available options
6. Make decisions based on your analysis after applying the ethical approach to each course of action.
Directions:
Use the 6 step process to specifically identify and analyze the key personal dilemma faced by McNulty in the show "The Wire." In steps 4 and 5, use each of the following Ethical Theories in your analysis: consequentialism, Deontology, and virtue ethics.
