Then briefly answer the following Focus Question One: According to Professor Yerushalmi, what is the unique contribution of Biblical thought to the idea of history and the writing of history? Part Two: Please read Professor Speiser’s article, pp. 280-297. You do not have to read the article very carefully but keep the following focus question in mind while reading the article: Focus Question Two: Do the ancient Mesopotamians, who clearly have a developed mythology with cyclical notions of time, also have a linear sense of history? Answer the above question and note some major supporting evidence for your answer to the question..
