Instruction
Follow the instructions that are on the How to Brief a Case sheet on "Files". Find a Supreme Court case affecting business on the document shown on "Files" as well. Don't select one that has been reported in class, as far as you know, and don't select the one you did previously. :) For this assignment, if you would like to select any other case affecting business, such as a Ninth Circuit Appeals Court case, I'm ok with it, so long as it affects business. Find 9th Circuit opinions at https://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/opinions/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site., and if you find a business case authored by Judge Jay Bybee, a friend, 1 extra point if you remind me.
I would like you to add one section to the case brief that will be:
My Opinion - Take two sentences to state here what your opinion is of the case outcome.
Complete the brief, generally following the form shown and adding your opinion, with good grammar. Paste it into the Assignment text box and attach the document you are using. Complete this on time for 10 points. If early, before Thursday morning, November 1 at 6AM, in good form, good grammar, and a cogent opinion, 1 point extra credit. Don't copy, or cut and paste without clearly giving credit for it. Standards will be higher than they were for the first brief! If you turn it in by then, I will allow a re-submission if something is missing.
If you fail to include a section, you should expect a 1 point deduction, and as I mentioned, from now on, expect a 10% reduction for late turn-ins.
