Write a journal entry for The Law Code of Hammurabi. The answer to each question must be at least 50 words: Which part or idea or concept in the reading was most interesting to you? Why? Did the reading help you to understand the people, culture and religion of the time and place (ancient near East/ancient Babylonia) in which it was written? Why? Why not? Your general comments about the reading. If you could say one thing, or ask one question, of Hummurabi, what would it be? Choose two of the specific laws. Write a paragraph analyzing and interpreting each one, including the specific law. What does it tell you about the status of the individuals mentioned (women, servants, men of wealth, etc.)? The religious, cultural or political beliefs of the ancient Babylonians? On what did the ancient Babylonians place value?
