I struggled more than I thought. Attached is the exact guidelines as well as the Calhoun speech that must be used for at least one example. Other examples come from the Narrative of the life of Fredrick Douglass, An American Slave. This must be at least two pages. No plagiarism.   • hello, I uploaded the file my teacher commented on, please edit and fix what he asks for by 11/18. THE FOLLOWING IS THE EXTRA DIRECTIONS HE GAVE ME: the main issue is that you did not write the essay as a review of the Narrative. Most of the review is general background info on who Garrison is and a little background on Douglass, which is not the assignment. Read through the instructions carefully - you will note that the assignment is to review the Narrative and to organize the review to answer that question - Is slavery as positive good. You have no specific examples or evaluation of the Narrative in your essay - that is the main thing to address (as you will see from the rubric, you need to cite at least three examples of the Narrative in your review). You want to cut out those sections that I highlighted that are general statements about Garrison and Douglass that would not be made in 1845 and that don't relate to the assignment.

  • Also, you shouldn’t be using outside sources for this – focus on the sources that are required: the role sheet, the narrative, and Calhoun document (and the general background in the gamebook). This source doesn’t give you any information that isn’t already in the role sheet.
