Select student academic content standards that apply to your area of specialization from the State Core Curriculum/Student Achievement Standards for your state. (LOUISIANA BIOLOGY 10th grade) You will be creating a thematic unit comprised of two lesson plans using the standards you select from your state. Using an Internet search, review lesson plans in a topic appropriate to your area of specialization for an instructional unit you might teach. (Suggested websites offering lesson plans are provided in the Web Links section of this task.) Based on your search and review, decide a topic for the two lesson plans in your thematic unit. 1. In a short essay (suggested length of 1 to 2 pages), explain how your selected unit of instruction supports local guidelines and student academic content standards. Select two Internet resources (one for each lesson plan) you might use for your lessons (remember to cite the resources using APA format). 1. Evaluate each resource (suggested length of 1 to 2 paragraphs per resource) for its appropriateness to grade level and content. E. Using the attached lesson plan format, create two original lesson plans based on content appropriate to your area of specialization. Submit these lesson plans as attachments to this task. 1. For the objective component for each of the two lesson plans, write one original, observable, and measurable objective (total of two objectives). 2.
