5. If the sample is 2,638 and 1,041 state that they will vote liberal, should this claim be accepted or rejected?
1. The Ontario poll has 940 people, whereas the national poll had 2,638 people.
Does the smaller sample size affect the results?
2. The journalist said that support drops off dramatically after age 65. Do you agree with this statement?
If not, why is the statement wrong?
a. Write the Hypothesis statements for the folks over 65.
b. Using a 90% confidence interval, test for this hypothesis. (α = .1). If your sample shows a 38% value for those over 65, should you accept or reject the hypothesis?
