1. Which court system did each case go through and why? It will be helpful for you to return to chapter 7 and read the section regarding jurisdiction. To complete this homework assignment, you must research news sources. It should be fairly easy to find information on both of the cases mentioned below. Please provide the link of the source you used along with your assignment. As we are studying Pretrial and trial procedures on chapter 8, it is important to watch the news and familiarize yourself with current and recent cases regarding the Criminal Justice system so you can make a connection between course content and how the Criminal Justice system in particular the court system works. As you know two high profile cases that were on going in recent years in the Boston area are the cases involving former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez and Boston Marathon Bombing - Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. As you probably saw in the news, it was possible to follow both cases from arrest to verdict, step by step. Each case was very public and went through two separate court systems. 1. Which court system did each case go through and why? It will be helpful for you to return to chapter 7 and read the section regarding jurisdiction.
