Such may include, but not be limited to, observations of: A single session of the City Council of Scranton, or other municipal/borough council, an observation of a floor debate in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, observation of a civil or criminal jury trial, attendance and observation of a zoning board meeting, observation of a normal workday of a member of the executive branch (which may be a mayor, governor of the state, secretary of state), Office of Economic Development, observation of meeting of county commissioners. More than one student may choose the same entity; however, students must choose different floor debates, dates of session, or dates of observation of the entity
to avoid duplication. To that end, students should, by 2/9/19, present instructor with a one page proposal as to the entity chosen, anticipated observations (agendas, bills up for debate or vote, etc.) and the proposed date of observation. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN THREE HOURS AT MOST.
