you will have heard the political ruckus regarding the three top offices in the state of Virginia. The governor, lieutenant-governor and attorney general all find themselves in varying degrees of hot water. Your assignment is a 3-4 page paper on the issue. What are these men accused of (be specific). Did it happen while in office? More importantly, what can the voters of Virginia do about it? (obviously, the legislature can begin impeachment proceedings, but I find that less interesting). Does Virginia have a Recall process? If so, is it constitutional or statutory? What is the process? What reasons can support a recall? Be prepared to answer those questions in the next class: Is there enough grounds to support a recall? Should the accused men be recalled? Use APA style and it must be a 3-4 pages paper, typed, double spaced and most importantly it must be finished within 24 hours.
