Help correct my assignment

User_4164 added on 01/16/14 at 01:41 AM (PST):

Hi, these are the notes given to me when I got the work sent back. This is what needs to be checked. The justification for condition 1 is not representative of the condition. The justifications for conditions 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 contain incorrect notation, steps of proof and any support for the steps is not evident. The steps are correct in the justifications for conditions 6, 8, 9, and 10 but any support for these steps is not evident.

  • I added what the grader had said that I needed to work on to correct the problem.
    User_4164 | Jan 16, 2014, 01:42 AM
  • Can you tell me what V is? Is it a subspace of R^2?
    User_2336 | Jan 16, 2014, 01:58 AM
  • I downloaded the entire task so that you can see it. The part that you are working on is just part B
    User_4164 | Jan 16, 2014, 02:33 AM
  • Is there anything else that you need?
    User_4164 | Jan 16, 2014, 03:23 AM
  • Did you mean that you want to answer part B? If so, you do not need to do 1 - 10 in this project. Let me know which you really need. Thanks.
    User_2336 | Jan 16, 2014, 03:28 AM
  • In the first download that I gave you it is part A but in the second which has an A and B it is part B which says "B. Indicate whether R2 is a vector space. 1. Justify your assertions by applying the provided mathematical definition for a vector space.`
    User_4164 | Jan 16, 2014, 03:33 AM
  • I see. Thanks. I will revise the proofs you provided based on those comments made by the grader.
    User_2336 | Jan 16, 2014, 03:42 AM
  • I uploaded one more document. It has the entire assignment that I did plus above part B it has what the graders said that I needed to fix in part B.
    User_4164 | Jan 16, 2014, 03:45 AM
  • I am working on Part B according to the comments, and will send back to you as soon as possible. It would be great if you could tell me the deadline. Thanks
    User_2336 | Jan 16, 2014, 21:17 PM
  • Just wanted to tell you that I have made changes. Let me know if you have any questions. Note: I changed V to R2, as you are asked to prove R2 is a vector space.

  • Hi, I got the assignment back and I was wondering if I put it back into the system if you make the revisions for $20. The comments made by the grader are, `The steps for axiom 1 are accurate. The justification to explain (u1+v1, u2+v2) is in R^2 is not evident in the report. The definition for adding vectors is correct in the steps. In axiom 2, additional steps and justifications are needed to show u + v = v + u. The initial steps (RHS) in axiom 3 are correct. Solving for the left side is not accurate in the justification. The steps in axiom 4 are accurate. The justification for the steps is not evident in the report. Similarly to axiom 4, the steps in axiom 5 are correct. The justification for the steps is not evident in the report. The justification for axiom 6 is not evident in the report. Additional details are needed to explain why (cu1,cu2) is in R^2. The steps for axioms 7 - 10 are accurate. The explanations to justify the steps for axioms 7 and 9 are not evident in the report.` If you want to do these revisions just contact me and I will post this as Homework and then assign you to do it when you respond.

  • Sounds good. I would be happy to do that. Thanks

  • Okay, Its posted.
    User_4164 | Jan 21, 2014, 02:33 AM
  • I don't have time to add any instructions right now, but you have the assignment if you want to start. Whenever, I see that you have made a bid I will assign you the job. Its posted under mathematics as "revisions for XXIAO"
