Instruction
1. A web link to the listing of application requirements for one (1) graduate school program of choice in the student's preferred area of study. This should be a direct link to the program's requirements and should provide clear expectations for application and eligibility.
2. Curriculum vitae, or CV, an item that typically accompanies the application for graduate programs.
3. Rationale for two to three (2-3) letters of recommendation (i.e., a critical component of the graduate school application). Students must submit a statement indicating at least two (2) FACULTY members (e.g., either at a previous institution or at UMBC), who would likely write letters of recommendation on the student's behalf. Students must justify why these two faculty members would best serve this function for the student's application, and they must provide detail as to the nature of their relationship with the respective faculty (i.e., in what capacity did they know you, for how long, etc.). For full credit, students must include at least one (1) paragraph per faculty rationale.
