According to an old maxim “You cannot make a cake without breaking a few eggs.” Today, the Western World is faced with answering for the choices it made with regards to the Scramble for Africa. Choose one of the African countries that was colonized by a European power in the 19th century. Using at least 2 outside sources, write a 1500 word essay explaining how the European country influenced the African country, and whether colonization had a positive or negative affect on the history of this African country. Do you believe that Europe “broke the eggs” by colonizing African countries in order to ensure European success?
