Instruction
• A written and oral report on a code- or language-creation project. Each student develops a new code or language or a variation of an existing language or languages; the project should apply course concepts from a variety of linguistic areas such as phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics. The project includes a student presentation of the new code or language, a sample of the code/language in writing, and a brief lesson that enables other students to create simple messages using the code/language.
