Public Service Announcement Video- Clean Drinking Water

Instruction
As you know, media has the power to inform us about issues, inspire us to learn more, and empower us to take action on specific issues that affect us and others. Therefore, for this project you will be creating a Public Service Announcement (short video - commercial) on your semester project safety topic. A public Service Announcement is basically a commercial. Do a quick Google search and check out PSA Videos. You will find a TON of products that people have created to get an important message across to viewers. What are you required to do for your PSA? 1. Create an educational storyline based on your semester project topic. a. Express your story line via video. I prefer you use the storyboard format (the use of drawings that are videoed) 2. Make your PSA at least 2 minutes in length. 3. Be persuasive. Persuasion is created through the following means: * powerful images – video, photographs, artwork * expressions on people’s faces * use of regular people – people that have been affected by tragedy or by the topic * clear calls to action * through sounds – words, repetition, humor, commands, music, tone and silence. My semester project is on the importance of access to clean drinking water and the safety of it! I have to go into the video and create a voiceover of my voice etc (I know how to do a voice over) but if it helps I have a MacBook Pro, and if you could email me the project to make exporting it easier?
