This week, explain how your thoughts have changed over the quarter. Do you feel differently now than you did at the beginning of the course? This is what I used for week 1 journal below: Juveniles generally get defined as the people under 18 years aged above 10years. Juvenile court should provide the defendant with rights that would not become provided for in the adult court. In addition to that, the juvenile court maintains public safety, skills development, habilitation, addressing treatment needs and rehabilitation. An individual’s life or background should be well considered when vital decisions are made at the criminal justice systems when the justice system is arranging an arrest on an individual. There are three types of seizures namely; arrest without warrant, arrest with authorization, and a single arrest performed by a citizen. For all these types of arrests, there must become laid procedures for arrest and detention. The criminal justice system must show a clear connection between the suspect and the offense. The arrested individual in the time of arrest should be allowed to acquire an attorney, or if in any case he or she can’t afford one the criminal justice should be to appoint one for the accused. A criminal charge is a formal accusation made by a public prosecutor or the police indicating someone has made a crime. It’s evident that every crime violates the law; not every crime committed is considered a crime. When an individual faces an arrest by police, the prosecutors will file the criminal charges in three days; a witness must become availed for the costs to be validated. The professional public prosecutor should do most prosecutions. Individual’s lawyer should become made when the enforcing authority has considered the prosecution warrant. Testimony of a victim is evidence believed by the police and prosecutor. Re-entry in the criminal justice system means the process by which the prisoners get released back to the community. The re-entry system helps in the transition from incarceration to more tax paying citizens.
