1. Create a multimedia presentation or a scrapbook called "Meet Walt Whitman and Me" that introduces both you and Walt Whitman. Be sure to communicate personality traits, beliefs and values, poetic talents, and even flaws. 2. Include photos or drawings of you and Whitman. Also, choose lines from Whitman's poems that reveal his character. Then include lines from your own poetry for a similar purpose. Write journal comments that interpret the visuals and the poetry. 3. Use the web resources to research Whitman's biography and some of the suggested short poems to discover his human qualities. View the Whitman photographs, particularly those from 1840 to the 1870s. 4. Complete your "Meet Walt Whitman and Me" product and submit it here. **I will put pictures of myself when assignment is done***
