In the article, Shared Governance: Democracy is Not an Educational Idea; Stanley Fish describes several considerations that pertain to any conversation about governance. In addition, Manning describes the critical elements of a collegial environment such as participatory governance, circular structure of communication and decision making, and the leadership culture of “first among equals.” In this Assignment, you will discuss how Fish’s view of governance compares to Manning’s description of governance in Chapter 4 of the textbook, Organizational Theory in Higher Education. https://halproseminarsp15.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/shared-governance.pdf
