Investigate ways in which humans have impacted water availability and quality, for instance water shortages, contamination, floods, or other processes (increased erosion and deposition of sediment) associated with fresh water today or historically. Pick one example, find a legit source on this example, and review the information researched from your source(s). It can be current or long past. Include when the event occurred, its root causes, cumulative effects, and how people responded to it. What importance did this event have in history, if any. Finally, do you think the event described could happen again? Where and why? Include a map to the location of the region in which your example took place. Search the Internet for a news article related to geology and water issues. Share with the class what you learned from the article in a unique post discussion with a minimum of 250 words of original text, which does not include quotes, references, and title text. If located somewhere, provide a map and photo of the issue/event.
