(1) Read the newspaper article (Waxmann, 2018) provided in this week’s resources, and then discuss it. In your paper, summarize the problem, provide three plausible solutions, and discuss the impact of these solutions. Select and recommend one of these solutions. Be sure to address the following: • Write an introduction paragraph. • Summarize the problem in the case study. • Provide three plausible solutions to the problem. • Discuss the impact of these three plausible solutions. • Recommend which solution you suggest should be implemented and articulate reasons for your recommendation. • Write a conclusion paragraph. In your paper, please use clear, bolded headings to separate the paper into sections. Length: 3-pages References: Include a minimum of three scholarly resources (including the newspaper article). (2) Identify a problem related to human resource management in a public administration-related organization (e.g., the one you work in, a local government agency, or a nonprofit/religious organization; it should not be a for-profit company). So far in this course, you have analyzed several case studies. In this assignment, you will not be given a case study to examine. Instead, you will provide the problem (based on your own knowledge, experience, or research) and discuss it, and provide plausible solutions. In this Signature Assignment, you will also evaluate the problem (whereas in the previous assignments, you simply summarized the problem). It would be great if you would provide an example so the reader can see what happened. You talked about the meeting and that new policies are required. I like the idea of hiring two employees to watch over the human resource hiring process. You talked about bad polices that need to be changed. I can’t imagine that there are policies promoting racism and firing African American workers. You talked about new polices and equal pay, well done. Also look at fair promotions and equal promotions.
