Instruction
This is a 750+ word essay, Programs are always implemented at the agency level. Even when a program is authorized by legislation there is an agency in charge of the program. Choose one of these scenarios. 1. You occupy a senior-level administrative position for a local police department. Your department's Chief of Police wants the department to apply for a state grant from the Office of the Governor from funds specified as "STOP Violence Against Women Act Fund." This is the description of the funding program: "These funds assist in developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women, as well as to develop and strengthen victim services." The Chief directs you to create a program and evaluation plan so that the department can apply for these funds. OR 2. You occupy a senior-level administrative position for a unit of a local government that is tasked with reducing delinquency by juveniles. The head of the unit wants to apply for state funds from a source under the Office of the Governor called, "Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act Fund." These funds are used to "develop more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment and rehabilitation programs in the area of juvenile justice." The head of your agency wants you to develop a program to reduce re-offending by high-risk probationers and/or parolees while they are in the community. After choosing ONE of these options, which will be what you focus on for the final exam, draft a statement that identifies the key stakeholders, and, explain your plan for engaging the stakeholders in the process as you plan for and develop your program.
