Question One: Explain the concept of resiliency. Explain and give examples of risk and protective factors, cite the text were possible. Compare how risk and protective factors affect developmental outcomes. In your answer, be sure to address the cumulative risk hypothesis.
Question Two: Describe how you, as a social worker, can become aware of, and avoid perpetuating ethnocentric responses to your clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Remember to address the concept of Cultural Humility. In your answer first articulate what ethnocentrism is/means, then how you would assess if you were perpetuating that in your practice.
Question Three: We talked about, and your text, Chapter Two addressed “single cause (uni-modal/single model) with multi-modal or multidimensional approaches. Define, and then compare the single-causal approach(es) to assessment and intervention planning with the integrative multidimensional framework described in Chapter Two and in our class of 9/6/19.
