Instruction
I will link my first part of the research paper and this will give you the start of what I need to be done. I would like 10-15 pages double spaced in APA format. Here are the exact instructions from my professor for this consumer behavior research paper. Paper 2: Literature ReviewThe second stage of the Research Project will consist of students investigating their proposed trend in marketing literature. Students will create a preliminary roadmap of 10-20 (or more) articles (both academic and popular/ practitioner press) that they will use to understand and further frame the issues/ situation that exists. In a written report no longer than 15 pages, students should present a summary of previous research that involve this topic. Research should be consciously organized by themes. A minimum of 3 themes are required. Themes are groupings of the literature. Themes should be stated, followed by summary of research literature that deal with that theme and a conclusion at the end that presents a “gap in the literature”. Gaps can be a multitude of items such as discrepancies across literature (e.g. one author claims this while another claims that) or sampling errors (e.g. no Mid-western samples). But ultimately these gaps are the subject that students will use to address in their third and final paper. An example: Let’s say that the topic is younger audiences not affiliating themselves to a religious group (e.g. church or synagogue). Thus, one of the themes might be research that looks at how young persons do not believe in a higher power or how churches are changing sermons to be more participatory to appeal to younger demographics. Thus, the paper would have a section devoted to one of these themes, then students would summarize all of the literature that they found concerning this theme. At the conclusion of that section, students MUST acknowledge a “gap” in the literature that they will then address in the final paper. To finish with our example, for the theme about younger persons not believing in a higher power, the gap might be that “ all past research was comprised of persons from large metropolitan areas primarily on the East Coast. Thus, no research has been conducted to investigate this theme among young, mid-western persons.”
