For this assignment, you will be creating a piece of communication that combines the ideas of the “Pop Culture Bites” article, the ideas of the “Zooming Out” counterpoint article, and your own viewpoint on the subject. You will choose to write either a blog post or create a presentation. Blog Post Your blog post should have an engaging tone that is noticeably different from the formal tone of your “Pop Culture Bites” and “Zooming Out” summaries. Your blog post should be 500-800 words long. It should be clear, based on your writing, who your target audience is. Are you writing to the gaming community? Perhaps your blog post is designed for music producers in the industry. You will need to include a title for your blog in your document. Your blog post can be uploaded as a Word document, or you can create a real blog post and provide the link. Your blog post must contain APA citations. Presentation Your presentation should contain engaging visuals and should present a clear goal (what are you trying to convince your audience of in this presentation?). Your notes for this presentation should still be 500-800 words long; you may attach your notes to your presentation in the ‘presenter notes’ section, or you may attach a separate Word document that includes your notes for each slide. Your presentation should also be designed with a specific target audience in mind. Be sure to greet your specific target audience in your presenter notes. Your presentation must contain APA citations. It is optional to include an audio component to your presentation. Questions to Consider: Which points do you agree with from the articles you read? Which points do you disagree with? What do you think either article, or both articles, are not considering? What kind of bias comes into play in your own response? What do you want your audience to remember and think about further regarding this subject?
