  • Read the following article about GDD to better understand what you should create and why we are learning about this live document: https://gamedevelopment.tutsplus.com/articles/how-and-why-to-write-a-great-game-design-document--cms-23545

  • A storyboard is a graphic organizer in the form of illustrations or images. It shows the sequence of a story to pre-visualizing a motion picture or animation. This will be part of your design document - an overview of main points in your animation scenes. https://www.storyboardthat.com/?utm_expid=.pTP0wQ3NTOmZVW6sAtgtsA.0&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fbb-montgomerycollege.blackboard.com%2Fwebapps%2Fblackboard%2Fexecute%2FdisplayLearningUnit%3Fcourse_id%3D_77491_1%26content_id%3D_4629293_1

  • Next you should think about your own story and make a draft this Flowchart into your GDD. Start with a paragraph or two describing the story and all possible outcomes. Then create a diagram of the logical sequence your animation will follow to ensure that the player never gets stuck. A flowchart uses specific symbols to show action, loops and decisions. This might be a good choice if you are creating a game or a story that depends on user input. A flowchart is a drawing that shows the steps in an algorithm. The order of the steps can be seen by following the arrows. Programs can have branches and loops and the flowchart makes it easier to see the sequence of the algorithm. Different shapes are used to represent each type of action. https://www.draw.io/
