Instruction
Directions - You will be writing an essay that uses the three documents provided to you by the teacher (Essay 10.2 Documents). To do this, do the following things:
1. Actively read the three documents - English Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen.
2. Your essay must include the following:
Context - establish historical context regarding the document and political revolution you will argue in the rest of your essay.
Thesis - Address the prompt directly in your introduction.
Claim - Make a claim that is relevant to the prompt that explains your argument.
Evidence - Provide evidence to support your claim, you must include evidence from the document.
Interpretation - Explain how your evidence supports your claim.
Document Analysis - Explain either the purpose, intended audience, or point of view/tone of your document.
Counterclaim - Address one of the other documents/revolutions and explain why it is not as significant as yours.
IT IS A 10TH GRADE CLASS SO PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS UNDERSTANDABLE FOR OUR TEACHER.
